The Speyside Way
The Speyside Way is a beautiful cycle path, with lovely open views to the surrounding countryside. Aviemore to Loch Garten is an achievable distance for a day trip.

This is another route that you can go as far as you want, but our choice is to get all the way to RSPB Loch Garten. Again, this is entirely dependent on the children and if they want to cycle that for, or if they are OK in the trailer/child seat for that long.
You can park and start from the car park opposite the Rothiemurchus centre.
The route is absolutely stunning, with well maintained paths, changing to quiet roads as you near Loch Garten.
Tot Tips:
The Farm Shop is one of the best in the area, so we highly recommend a pit stop to pick up some goodies.
